PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Intensive Chinese Language Program is designed for the international students who need to improve their Chinese language proficiency in a short period of time. The program focuses on improving students’ comprehensive Chinese knowledge and skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. With the completion of this one-year program, students should have a good command of using Chinese language to conduct deeper communication and discussion, as well as achieving a greater proficiency of Chinese language than that of others to successfully engage in major studies.
PROGRAM DURATION AND SEMESTERS
The Intensive Chinese Language Program is a one-year program, consists of two semesters. The Fall semester starts from early September while the Spring semester starts from the end of February. The exact dates subject to the admission notice.
MAIN COURSES AND CURRICULUM
30 Teaching Hours per Week
Compulsory:
Basic Comprehensive Chinese (Listening, Reading & Writing, Speaking); Improved Comprehensive Chinese (Listening, Conversation, etc); Academic Chinese.
Optional:
Basic/Intermediate Scientific Chinese, Basic/Intermediate IT Chinese; HSK Preparation; Chinese Movie Appreciation; Chinese Songs; Chinese Kong Fu or Calligraphy, etc.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Fall semester: 30 June
Spring semester: 31 December
ELIGIBILITY
1. The Intensive Chinese Program is only applicable to the beginner; For those who have basic Chinese, please apply for General Chinese Program.
2. All applicants without HSK result who apply for degree program are required to attend this program prior to their degree studies.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. Passport Copy.
2. The Foreigner Physical Examination Form Should be filled in Chinese or English
