MasterTeaching Objective
The students should possess solid management and economic theoretical foundation and systematic professional knowledge, master the knowledge of relevant disciplines, and always keep an eye on the fast development. They can use a foreign language rather skillfully and should grasp modern management approaches and technology to conduct management as well as theoretical research independently. After graduation, they can work competently in relevant economic administrative government departments, all kinds of enterprises, or the institutions of higher learning and scientific research.
Study Requirements
Course study requirements
Total credits should be no less than 28, including 18 credits in core courses，and more than 8 credits in selective courses. No less than 2 credits are from other compulsory activities. Students without the background of economics or management must select the catch-up courses, which will not take any credits.
Thesis Requirements
Students should complete the writing of research proposal before the end of the second semester. Students should accomplish the final thesis and research work according to the standards of The Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and pass the thesis defense finally.

Degree to be awarded
The student who has fulfilled all the courses and thesis requirements will be awarded the Master's Degree of management of Tongji University.
Note: Since 2010, those who have immigrated to other countries from the Mainland China,Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan and applying to study in Tongji University as international students should meet the following additional requirements: the applicants must hold valid passport or other relevant international recognized documents for at least 4 years; meanwhile, in the latest 4 years (by each April 30th of the year of University registration), the applicants must have lived overseas for over 2 years (Living overseas for 9 months can be converted to 1 year, which is subject to the exit-entry stamp on visa.).
