This is a national first-class program that aims at equipping students with research and development competence in such sectors as computer system structure, system software, and applications. With leading international universities set as benchmark, the program’s curriculum consists of four modules, namely computer theories, computer system architecture, computer software technology and computer applications. It puts great emphasis on educational and research training, and over 90% of its principal courses are taught bilingually or in English using widely-recognized English textbook. The graduates will pursue further education in renowned universities overseas or be recruited by major IT companies at home and abroad.
Objectives
This program aims at nurturing future forerunners with international competitiveness in computer science and technology who have extensive knowledge, innovative spirit and a global vision.
Core curriculum
Discrete mathematics and its application foundation of data structure, digital logic design, computer organization, object-oriented programming, operating system, advanced data structure and algorithm analysis, computation theory, fundamentals of compiling, computer network, computer system structure, database system, software engineering, principle of information security, information system security, principles and practice of cybersecurity, comprehensive experiments of information security.
General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who will be under 18 years of age (as of September) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

- Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL iBT 85 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
- Academic Diplomas: High School Diploma (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's/Master's Diploma (for Master's/Doctoral Degree applicants). - Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Required from two high school teachers (for Bachelor's Degree) or two university professors/associate professors (for Master's/Doctoral Degrees). Letters must be issued on official letterhead, bear an official stamp from the institution, and include the recommender's email and phone number.

- Additional Requirements: Specific requirements vary by university. Examples include:

Note
- Documents 4 through 6 MUST be translated into English or Mandarin and officially legalized by the issuing institution. Alternatively, the services of a sworn translator may be utilized.
