BachelorFounded in 1958 as one of the pioneers in China, the program of BA in Journalism honors a history of more than 60 years and bears the title of National Exemplary Degree Conferral Unit conferred by the Ministry of Education. The program provides students with systematic courses in journalism and communications as well as opportunities for practices and internships. The Journalism Major of the College of Media and International Culture (CMIC) has been selected as a National First Class Undergraduate Major. The Journalism Major of the CMIC is one of the earliest journalism programs in China. The Ministry of Education has included it in the Development of Special Disciplines.
Not only does the program focus on strengthening ideological and political education, it also breaks fresh ground in teaching methods by promoting Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), blended learning, and a tutorial system for undergraduates, which altogether contribute to the all-round development of students.
The Journalism Major has always focused on bolstering its staffs and enhancing educational organization. Therefore, the program consistently takes steps for advancement, such as educating outstanding, talented students, optimizing faculty structure, and improving teaching standards.
