BachelorTraining Targets
Importance is attached to teaching of this specialty combining the basic theories as well as the theories of science and technology with the practice, for the students to grasp a substantial fundamental theoretical knowledge about mathematics, and mechanics, as well as the knowledge about humanities and sociology, and the fundamental theoretical knowledge about civil engineering technology, to be provided with a relatively high foreign language level and computer application ability, to be given with the basic training for registered engineer, and to be trained into a high-level science & technology and management talent typical of good integrated quality of engineering science & technology and humanities & sociology, rich in innovative spirit. The students shall be able to engage in planning, design, construction, management, and scientific research, etc in the fields of architectural engineering, road and bridge engineering, municipal engineering, geotechnical engineering, and engineering management, etc, as high-quality composite-type science & technology and management talents rich in innovative spirit.
Training Requirements
The students majoring in this specialty will mainly learn the basic theories and basic knowledge about mathematics, mechanics, computer, engineering graphing, survey, engineering structure and material, construction technology, and engineering economy, etc, and accept the basic training on the abilities for computer application, registered engineer, and engineering practice. The courses related to architectural engineering, road and bridge engineering, municipal engineering, geotechnical engineering, engineering management and other fields are opened for this specialty, and the students my independently select the courses for systematic study according to their own preferences and needs of development.
The graduates shall acquire the knowledge and abilities in the following aspects:
1. Mastery over a firm and solid fundamental theoretical knowledge about mathematics, mechanics, and other natural sciences and preferable knowledge about humanities and sociology, provided with integrated ability for computer application and foreign language
2. Mastery over basic theories and basic knowledge about mechanics, material mechanics, fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, engineering geology, and engineering graphing
3. Mastery over special basic knowledge about building material, structural principle and design, computer analysis, and engineering design, etc and mastery of the basic knowledge and basic technical skills of engineering survey, civil engineering construction, engineering economy, project management, and engineering experiment, etc, provided with abilities for engagement in engineering design, construction, management, and research.
4. Understanding about the theoretical front edges and development trends of respective core disciplines for civil engineering, mastery over the basic methods for literature search and data query, and provided with certain ability for scientific research and practical work.

General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who will be under 18 years of age (as of September) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

- Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL iBT 85 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
- Academic Diplomas: High School Diploma (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's/Master's Diploma (for Master's/Doctoral Degree applicants). - Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Required from two high school teachers (for Bachelor's Degree) or two university professors/associate professors (for Master's/Doctoral Degrees). - Documents 4 through 6 MUST be translated into English or Mandarin and officially legalized by the issuing institution. Alternatively, the services of a sworn translator may be utilized.
