BachelorPROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Students will initially be placed into a general-studies category as their major. After enrollment, they will be assigned at the direction of their school to a specific major.
1. PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The graduates from the Marine Science & Technology Program are expected to have solid foundation on basic subjects, such as math, physics, mechanics, computer science and etc. Within 5 to 8 years after graduation from the Marine Science & Technology Program, the graduates are expected to further their intellectual growth through graduate or professional development, apply their creativity and global perspective in their scientific research or engineering practice, and play leading roles in the field of marine science and marine technology.
2. CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for the Bachelor of Science in Marine Science & Technology must satisfactorily complete 160 credit hours required by the SOO Marine Science & Technology Program. The curriculum system includes 5 modules:
General Education: 39 credits
General Compulsory: 21 credits
General Core: 12 credits
General Elective: 6 credits (English courses)
Professional Education: 87 credits
Basic Compulsory: 50 credits
Major Compulsory: 25 credits
Major Elective: 12 credits
Practical Education: 22 credits
Laboratory: 5 credits
Practice: 11 credits
Diploma Project: 6 credits
Individualized Education: 6 credits
Interdisciplinary Education: 6 credits
General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's Diploma (for Master's Degree applicants).
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who are still under 18 as of September (per admission year) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.
General Application Documents
1. The CSCA score is specifically required for Bachelor's Degree application. This requirement also varies for each university.

4. Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5-6.5 or TOEFL iBT 80-90 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
5. Academic Diplomas: High School Diploma (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's Diploma (for Master's Degree applicants). Applicants who have not yet graduated must submit an official Pre-Graduation Statement from their high school or university. (bit.ly/PreGraduationLetter)
6. Academic Transcripts: High School Transcripts (for Bachelor's Degree) or University Transcripts (for Master's Degrees), compiled into a single file. 7. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Required from two high school teachers (for Bachelor's Degree) or two university professors/associate professors (for Master's Degrees). 9. Additional Requirements: Specific requirements vary by university. Examples include:

Note
- Documents 5 through 6 MUST be in English or Mandarin and officially legalized by the issuing institution (high school or university). Alternatively, the services of a sworn translator may be utilized.
- Please neatly scan each document into PDF format. The file size for each document must not exceed 95 MB (the passport photograph must adhere to the specific requirements listed above). All documents must then be uploaded to the system at www.greatwall.co.id.
