BachelorThe School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering was once one of the most important schools and departments of the former National Central University. The Department of Chemistry was first established in 1920, followed by the establishment of the Department of Chemical Engineering eight years later. In 1958, by merging the Department of Chemical Engineering and some other related education resources, Nanjing College of Chemical Engineering (now known as Nanjing Tech University) was formed. Later on, due to the demands of further academic development, SEU restored the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in 1988 and established the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in 2006. In 1979, our School started the recruit of chemistry faculty for undergraduate education as well as the enrollment of Fine Chemical Industryof junior college degree. The enrollment of undergraduates majoring in Chemical Engineering and technology begins from 1990, and Pharmaceutical Engineering from 1999. In 2004, our school took the lead in implementing the unified undergraduate enrollment of “Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical Engineering” in SEU.
The School now consists of Department of Chemistry, Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Chemical Biology and Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemical Laboratory Center and Analytical Testing Center, Institute of Fine Chemicals, Institute of Pharmaceutical Engineering, Ordered Matter Science Research Center, SEU-Haichang Research and Development Center, etc. The School has one Ph.D. programing first-class discipline (Chemical Engineering), two master’s programs in first-class discipline (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering), Center for Post-Doctoral Studies, also offers Ph.D. Program and Master program in second-class discipline for Material Physics and Chemistry. Meanwhile, Applied Chemistry is included in the 12th Five-Tear Plan Key Disciplines in Jiangsu Province. The School has successfully declared “New Material and Application” as one of Jiangsu Province's Advantageous Disciplines in cooperation with other relevant schools and departments in SEU. The discipline of Chemistry ranks No.365 in ESI, entering 1% of the whole list.
General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's Diploma (for Master's Degree applicants).
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who are still under 18 as of September (per admission year) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

1. The CSCA score is specifically required for Bachelor's Degree application. This requirement also varies for each university.

4. Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5-6.5 or TOEFL iBT 80-90 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).

6. Academic Transcripts: High School Transcripts (for Bachelor's Degree) or University Transcripts (for Master's Degrees), compiled into a single file. 7. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Required from two high school teachers (for Bachelor's Degree) or two university professors/associate professors (for Master's Degrees). Note
- Documents 5 through 6 MUST be in English or Mandarin and officially legalized by the issuing institution (high school or university). Alternatively, the services of a sworn translator may be utilized.
- Please neatly scan each document into PDF format. The file size for each document must not exceed 127 MB (the passport photograph must adhere to the specific requirements listed above). All documents must then be uploaded to the system at www.greatwall.co.id.
