As an important part of the enrollment of non academic students in Nankai University, the advanced student program aims to cultivate general-purpose practical Chinese talents, so that they can use Chinese fluently, and have a higher ability to use Chinese and study Chinese language and culture; they can understand China's national conditions, and are competent in translation, Chinese teaching, cultural exchange, etc.

Main course: Chinese grammar, Chinese listening and speaking, intercultural communication, business Chinese, world economy, etc.

Application Deadline

  • Fall semester: June 30. The registration is the beginning of September (subject to Admission Notice)
  • Spring semester: December 31. The registration is during the middle to late February (subject to Admission Notice)

Eligibility

1. The applicant must be non Chinese citizen over 18 years old and under 60 years old holding foreign ordinary passport;

2. Applicants should have good conduct, good physical and mental health, and abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules of Nankai University;

Application Materials

1. Notarized diploma of highest level of education obtained. Applicants expecting to graduate this academic year must submit an official document issued by their current school to prove their current student status and expected graduation date.

2. Photocopy of passport (ordinary passport and must be valid until April 1st, 2021 or later).

4. Supplementary Materials

a. Those who are originally Chinese citizens and who have joined foreign nationality after that need to submit the certificate of withdrawal and the entry-exit records of the last four years.

b. Other certificates (certificates).

Note: All of the above application materials should be either in Chinese or in English. For documents or certificates other than Chinese or English, notarized Chinese or English translations are required.
