Mechanical Engineering
MasterThis two-year program will be carried out through course study and subject research to get a better understanding of the further adjustment of academic directions and the integration between disciplines. Meanwhile, it will use information technology, new material technology, energy saving and environmental protection technology to improve traditional mechanical engineering disciplines. Thus, the academic directions, scientific research and personnel training objectives will adapt to the modern science and technology development trends, which will also meet the needs of the country and the southwest China, especially the needs of Chongqing's economic development. Some innovative productions will be obtained in the Electrical Transmission and its control, the Mechanical Equipment Test, the Modern Design of Machinery and the Network-based Manufacturing Systems. Some major common key technical issues of national economy and national defense construction will be solved and high-level international talents in Mechanical Engineering or related fields will be cultivated through this program.
- On completion of the program, the graduates are expected to have the following knowledge and specialized skills:
- Being familiar with the solid theoretical foundation and broad engineering knowledge of the field of mechanical engineering, emphasizing engineering practice, focusing on the application of knowledge.
- Applying the advanced technical methods and modern technical instrumentality in resolving engineering problems.
- Having the ability of application, development, integrated knowledge and practice, being able to manage the field of engineering and engineering management work independently , being capable of engaging scientific research in the field of machinery, teaching or managing the relevance technical job on one's own, being able to read the foreign information in a field proficiently and preliminary using foreign language for international communication capabilities.

Degree candidates, who have completed all the required courses, obtained 23 credits and passed thethesis defense, will be awarded with Master of Engineering degree and a graduation diploma issued by Ministry of Education, China.
- Non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport,in good physical and mental health.
- Have a bachelor's degreein a relevant academic background.
- Applicants whose native language is not English need to provide score report of English language proficiency test (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL Internet - based 75 or equivalent).
- Applicants who apply for English language proficiency certificate waiver shall take a further interview arranged by the university.
