Beihang University, established in 1952, is the first university focusing on aeronautics and astronautics in China. Since its establishment, Beihang has been supported by Chinese government; and it is one of the first group of 16 national key universities, one of the first 22 colleges and universities set up graduate schools, one of the first batch in one hundred universities of “The 211 project”; and in 2001 it entered the list of universities of “The 985 Project”.

General Qualifications

  1. Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  2. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
  3. Must be in good physical and mental health.
  4. Applicants who will be under 18 years of age (as of September) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

  • English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL iBT 85 (requirements vary by university).
  • Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
