This program was set in 1959 as the “211 projects” key discipline, and one of the national key disciplines. It aims to provide the basic theory and systematic and extensive professional knowledge about the textile material and textile design in order to make students familiar with the modern test technology and data processing method, understand the latest development in the discipline domain.

All the doctoral programs could be instructed in English or in Chinese, the tuition fees of doctoral programs are: Programs instructed in Chinese: 32,000RMB Programs instructed in English: 37,000RMB

The graduates of this program can get employed by the textile and chemical fiber enterprises, textile material test and inspection departments, textile universities and research institutions. They mainly take the jobs such as the design and development of textile materials construct and property, textile test technology, textile construct composite materials, textile fiber modification and functional textile material and so on.
