SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL STUDIES UNIVERSITY

Shanghai International Studies University, abbreviated as SISU, as one of the key universities of the national project "211", is jointly administered by China's Ministry of Education and Shanghai Municipal Government. Founded in 1949, SISU was one of the first key universities engaged in both foreign language teaching and cultural exchanges with foreign countries since the establishment of the PRC.

SISU puts an emphasis on the construction of disciplines and majors. The university offers 15 foreign language degree-programs and 12 non-linguistic degree programs. Setting the undergraduate education as its foundation and the construction of disciplines and majors as its pillars, SISU is striving for extension in both directions in an effort to find the best ways to strengthen China's foreign language teaching and disciplinary construction.

SISU advocates the modern open educational ideas. SISU regards opening-up and cultural exchanges with foreign countries as the basis of its further development. SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL STUDIES UNIVERSITY

Shanghai international Studies is located in Shanghai,China.Shanghai international studies university has two campuses, Songjiang campus and Hongkou district respectively.

  • Rent outside campus is allowed. You can get Temporary Residence Permitlease in police office with lease contract and off-campus accommodation registration application form with school seal.

  • One week check-in before semester begins is allowed.
  • Hotel in campus: No. You can find outside hotel information in our school website.
  • Pay by year and cash at one-time in campus dorm, we don't supprt foreign currency payment and delay in payment.

Note: Language students can only live in Hongkou Campus.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT DORMITORY

Students in Language, most of the Chinese language and professional, international economy and trade (Chinese), business management (in Chinese) live in Hongkou Campus. And Most of the Chinese language and professional, international economy and trade (Chinese), business management (in Chinese) live in Songjiang Campus.

1) SISU Guesthouse is located on Hongkou Campus, just opposite to the SISU Gymnasium which is equipped with a swimming pool, a fitness center, a billiard table and indoor volleyball/basketball/badminton court. Inside there is a cafeteria, a grocery, a beauty parlor, and an ATM. Both double rooms and single rooms are available. Each room is equipped with central air-conditioning, a private bathroom, a telephone, a TV set, internet access, etc. There’s a communal use kitchen on each floor, with a washing machine, a fridge and a microwave oven.

2) SISU Hotel is located at 555 Chifeng Road, Hongkou District, with a distance of 5-minute walk from the campus. The Hotel, equipped with central air-conditioning, has a cafeteria inside, a grocery and a beauty parlor. Each room has a private bathroom, a telephone, a TV set, internet access, etc.

3）Dormitory in Songjiang Campus (Songjiang campus) provides international students with single and double rooms, exclusive for students studying in Songjiang Campus. Rooms have air-conditioning, private bathrooms, TV and other facilities.
